The total program consists of 41 classes totaling 1248 credit hours.

These 41 classes are grouped into Six Certification Programs:

SIX CERTIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Certified Massage Technician 200 credit hours
  2. Certified Massage Therapist 250 credit hours
  3. Advanced Certified Massage Therapist 232 credit hours
  4. Acupressure Certification 180 credit hours
  5. Tui Na Certification 188 credit hours
  6. Structural Transformation Bodywork 180 credit hours

Once the student completes the basic Certified Massage Technician program, they then have a CHOICE of taking any of the advanced classes.

Students can take individual classes from the five advanced certification programs without having to enroll in the entire program.

A special 500 hour training is customized to fit the needs of those wanting that type of program.

 

Certified Massage Technician Program (CMT)

 

200 credit hours

Our professional entry level program prepares the student to enter the massage profession with many usable skills.

THREE styles of massage are taught in this training and it is taught in a special 16 Day Intensive that has become a very sought after certification.

Instruction includes:

  • Traditional Swedish Massage
  • LifeStream Massage
  • Seated Chair Massage
  • Reflexology
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Business Practices
  • Introduction to Aromatherapy

We are very proud to offer a basic certification class in which our students learn three styles of massage--the classic Swedish, the Seated Chair massage used in office settings, Health Fairs and other public events, plus the LifeStream Massage. This signature massage gives the relaxation and enjoyment of a Swedish massage with the release of deep tissue bodywork. Special techniques are taught to help the therapist maintain the Special techniques are taught to help the therapist maintain their stamina while enabling them to work into the deeper layers of muscles.

Advanced Certified Massage Therapist

280 credit hours

This course is designed to create mastery in the massage profession and is designed to help students pass the National Certification Examination for massage therapy.

Hands-on training combined with detailed in depth instruction in knowledge of anatomy and physiology makes this class a must for the serious massage therapist.

Classes can be taken individually or upon completion of all classes a certification is awarded.

Acupressure Certification

180 credit hours

This certification provides the student with skills and understanding in acupressure massage developed over thousands of years as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Acupressure is especially useful addressing pain in the body.

The class is designed to solve results from sports injuries, hypertension and many other soft tissue problems.

Classes can be taken individually or when all seven are taken a certification isawarded.

TuiNa Certification

(pronounced Tway Nah)

188 credit hours

We are very proud to state we are one of the few schools in California that offers this type of bodywork. This is a very unique and powerful form of Ancient Chinese Bodywork that can be completed on a fully clothed person, which makes it very useful in offices and other public places.

The technique can also be used in many types of massage settings such as Spas, Fairs, Sports Massage etc.

Classes can only be taken in succession from TuiNa 1 through TuiNa 8.

Structural Transformation Bodywork

180 credit hour

This classic 10 session Deep Tissue Bodywork teaches the student to analyze and correct postural distortions due to soft tissue injuries.

Methods of deep tissue are used to release chronic pain and to bring the body back into a balanced condition.

To receive a certification in this class the student must complete Structural Transformation 1, 2 and 3.
